Taiwan Tribal Carnival returns to Taipei

TAIPEI (Taiwan News) — The Taiwan Tribal Tourism Carnival runs Sept. 26–28 at Taipei Main Station with the theme “Original Art Wave.”
The Tourism Administration is organizing the event with seven National Scenic Area administrations. Partners include the Council of Indigenous Peoples, the Ministry of Labor, the Ministry of Culture, the National Park Administration, and the Forestry and Nature Conservation Agency, per CNA. Visitors can browse crafts and foods and buy tribal tour packages. The site adds an art corridor of traditional instruments and weaving, plus a check-in zone by tribal artisans. Programming includes stage performances and hands-on workshops. Eco- and digital features include reusable tableware rental, second-hand paper bags, AR photo ops, multilingual audio guides, points collection, and online raffles, per Newtalk. This is the carnival’s 12th edition and it aims to draw travelers ahead of the long weekend. The venue is the Taipei Main Station 1F multifunction exhibition area. |
