TAIPEI (Taiwan News) — An immersive exhibition celebrating the Japanese anime series “Chainsaw Man” has opened in Taipei, offering fans a rare glimpse into the show’s creative process. Based on the manga by Fujimoto Tatsuki, “Chainsaw Man” has garnered recognition for its gritty narrative and dynamic visual style. The exhibition will run through June 8 on the first floor of Taipei's Syntrend Creative Park. The exhibition features more than 700 production materials, including animation drafts, original keyframes, detailed storyboards, character props, design sheets, and concept art. All original manuscripts were shipped from Japan. A standout feature of the exhibition is the display of life-size character models of Denji, Power, Hayakawa Aki, and Makima. These figures are presented with lighting and sound effects to enhance the viewing experience. Covering episodes one through 12 of the anime’s first season, the exhibition is further enhanced by the series’ soundtrack. Visitors can revisit major scenes accompanied by the opening theme by Japanese singer Yonezu Kenshi and 12 unique ending songs by artists such as Vaundy, Aimer, and Queen Bee. An exclusive merchandise area offers a wide range of goods, including imported Japanese items, popular products from overseas exhibitions, and limited-edition items debuting in Taiwan. A special outdoor booth at Syntrend will remain open for an extra week, through June 15. |
