基隆施放煙火、船鳴、舉辦百年慶典迎接新年
660-second fireworks display, local food, special giveaways to mark city's 100th anniversary
TAIPEI (Taiwan News) — Keelung will host a 660-second fireworks display at the Huzishan Keelung Landmark, accompanied by ship horns from the port to ring in the New Year. The show will feature over 5,000 fireworks in four themed segments. It will be complemented by laser light sculptures, per CNA. The four segments celebrate Keelung’s 100th anniversary, beginning with a look at the city’s history. The show will then highlight Keelung’s progress, vision for the future, and conclude with a tribute to its centennial. Limited-edition gifts will be available at Guomen Square from 11 p.m. onwards, while supplies last. To claim a gift, follow the Keelung City Culture and Tourism Bureau photo’s Facebook page. Before the New Year's Eve fireworks show, visitors can enjoy local delicacies. The city government will announce a new event on Dec. 26, collect stamps from three participating restaurants, and upload a photo of them to a designated post to enter a raffle. Visitors can participate in a scavenger hunt by searching for “umbrella people” figurines at various stores. By posting photos with three different figurines on social media, along with a designated hashtag, they can receive a limited-edition Keelung centennial gift. |
