靈隱寺始建於東晉咸和元年（西元326年），至今已有約一千七百年的歷史，為杭州最早的名刹。地處杭州西湖以西，背靠北高峰，面朝飛來峰，兩峰挾峙，林木聳秀，深山古寺，雲煙萬狀。

Lingyin Temple is situated in Hangzhou of Zhejiang Province. Towering over the foot of the statuesque mountain of the same name, it is a major ancient Buddhist sanctuary in the possession of a rich trove of cultural treasures.
